Schedule:
Monday Friday 7.58 hour shifts (approx. 40 hours/week)
No overtime offered
Facility Overview:
Secure closed campus with constant Youth Correctional Officer presence
Medication pass conducted door-to-door using a medication cart
Work under direct supervision of a state-employed LPN
Job Responsibilities:
Obtain and process blood urine or other specimen samples
Monitor record and report changes in youth vitals or health conditions
Administer medications and observe for adverse reactions
Conduct intake health screenings for newly incarcerated youth
Provide direct patient care and emergency care to youth and staff
Consult and coordinate youth treatment plans with health services team
Maintain medical files and records; ensure medical supplies are stocked
Administer vaccinations and assist with annual TB skin tests
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills:
Knowledge of professional nursing methods and techniques
Ability to observe and assess patient behavior and progress
Strong problem-solving verbal and written communication skills
Ability to respond to medical emergencies and evaluate situations independently
Work collaboratively with professional and non-professional staff
Establish and maintain effective work relationships
Requirements:
Active LPN license in the State of Arizona
Preferred:
Corrections experience
