This is more than a job itsa chance towork directly with customers and dealers experience the world and influence the design and support of groundbreaking technologies likeCatDynamic Energy Transfer (DET).Youllcollaborate with engineering product development and field teams toinfluence the designs of oursolutionsanddevelopand execute strategies todeploy them to mining position is highly visible to external customers and dealers and has a high impact on theirperceptionof Caterpillar as a partner in product development and candidate will be an ambassador for Caterpillar sharing best practices in a constructive manner.

CatDynamic Energy Transfer is a fully Caterpillar-developed system that can transfer energy to both diesel-electric and battery-electric large mining truckswhile they areworking around a mine site. It can also charge a machines batteries whileoperatingwith increased speed on grade improving operational efficiency and machine uptime.

What you will do:

The Senior Electrification Application Lead provides technicalexpertiseand pre-sales commercial support forRI Electrificationworldwide.

• Working with dealers and end customers to successfullyDET includes sharing knowledge for boththe physicalinstallation andcontrolsintegration.

• Ensuring a products technical specifications and capabilities are communicated to the sales force.

• Providingtechnicalassistanceas needed to enable the saleand integrationofthe involves verbal& writtencommunication as well as field support activities.

• Servingas a subject matter expert to support product development efforts by providing critical customer input on market requirementsand product optimization.

• Developing andmaintainingapplication and installation manuals andtechnical communications

• Preparing and conducting product and application training for dealers and end customers as well asassistingcustomers and dealers with complex or unique applications.

Degree Requirement: Bachelors degree in engineering.

What skills you will have:

Technical Excellence: Strong technical background in product support engineering or field service. Experience with electrification power systems heavy equipment or mine site operations.

Effective Communications: Strong communication and facilitation skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information effectively.

Products and Services: Knowledge of major products and services and product and service groups; ability to apply knowledge of product and service appropriately to diverse situations. Strong foundation in product support: understanding customer needs solving problems and delivering value through service and expertise. A commitment to provide prompt high quality responses to customer requests which may sometimes require extended workdays and travel.

Influencing Through Expertise: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to use these to deepen own expertise and impact or challenge decisions within and outside own organization.

Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan organize monitor and control projects ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.

Team Management: This role is an individual contributor but you will serve as a leader in organization-wide initiatives that require cross-functional teams.

Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools methods and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
Troubleshooting Technical Problems: Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches tools and techniques; ability to anticipate detect and resolve technical problems in a manufacturing or product development environment.

Top Candidate Will Also Have:

Deep experience with switchgear AC distribution and parallel operations and controls.

Miningindustry experience in a technical support role.

Experience with design and/or application ofMiningproducts.

Demonstratedhigh levelsof motivation (self-starter / take initiative).

Additional Information:

The primary work location for this role is Tucson AZ with a requirement to work on-site full-time at a Caterpillar facility.

This position may require up to50% travel including global travel to support specific sales opportunities deliver dealer training support industry trade shows and conduct installation and design audits.

Domestic relocation assistance is available.

Summary Pay Range:

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjob-related knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
