WHO WE NEED

The Lead Promotions Ambassador serves as a ROM ambassador interfacing with the public and delivering content both onsite and offsite. This role actively promotes and engages potential visitors with ROMs collections and special exhibitions encouraging visitation and membership. The Lead Promotions Ambassador delivers guided experiences to Promotions Tourism and Group Sales clients and ROM Members providing a welcoming experience for visitors of all ages. Additionally this role supervises other Promotions Ambassadors to ensure successful execution and a positive experience for the audience.


HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Energetically execute and deliver onsite and offsite promotional experiences speaking knowledgeably about the Museums key exhibitions and programs.
  • Deliver engaging scripted guided experiences including guided tours and scavenger hunts for visitors of all ages.
  • Set up and take down signage activity stations promotional booths and other required materials.
  • Supervise a team of Promotions Ambassadors ensuring high-quality service and successful event execution.
  • Perform administrative tasks including research and script editing.


WHAT YOU BRING

  • Completion of between one (1) and two (2) years of post-secondary training/education in marketing education or a museum-related discipline.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working as a Brand Ambassador or Field Representative including previous supervisory experience.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a tour guide educator or in a similar role with demonstrated ability to lead hour-long guided tours.
  • Demonstrated experience in storytelling and delivering engaging presentations. Experience must include presenting to diverse audiences delivering educational content and engaging visitors in a meaningful way.
  • Effective team leader; energetic dynamic and outgoing. Ability to motivate a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal customer service conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional appearance and the ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Must be available evenings in addition to mornings and afternoons on weekends.
  • Available to attend off-site events in Toronto and the GTA.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.

SALARY & TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • START DATE: January 2026

  • EXPECTED COMPENSATION: $26.60- $34.41
  • SCHEDULE: Up to 24hours weekly
  • PROBATIONARY PERIOD:420 hours or six (6) months
  • LOCATION (onsite): Toronto ON


**This position requires mandatory evening availability and weekend mornings/afternoons.**
