Housing Regulatory Compliance Apprentice
Location: Birmingham City Council Ashted Lock
Salary: Grade A
Hours: 36.5 per week - Although most work is undertaken in core office hours you will be expected to work flexibly and routinely outside of core office hours to ensure service delivery.
Contract: Fixed Term 24 months - 5 posts available
Start Date: 5th February 2026 applicants MUST be available to start on this date

Are you passionate about making a difference in housing standards and tenant safety Join Birmingham City Council as a Housing Regulatory Compliance Apprentice and play a key role in supporting the implementation of the Renters Rights Act. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in housing enforcement property licensing and regulatory compliance while working towards a nationally recognised qualification through your apprenticeship.
You will work closely with our experienced Private Sector Housing team gaining real-world experience in property inspections housing standards enforcement licensing schemes and tackling rogue support investigations assist with legal notices and engage with tenants landlords and partner agencies.
