Job Summary

WHAT IS ON OFFER

Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Cargo Superintendent to join our team in Immingham. Your main focus will be to oversee the discharge (or loading) of cargoes monitoring/ auditing client storage locations and working part of the Drax contract team to undertake cargo sampling (both mechanical and manual) and sample preparation duties.

Shift Pattern - 12 hour shift system basis working a mix of days and nights.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Required Competencies

Excellent communication and IT skills
Highly organised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly inform others
Excellent administrative skills with experience of writing reports
Strong relationship building skills internally and externally
Highly motivated with the ability to work on own initiative in a dynamic work environment with changing priorities

Required Work Experience

Experience of working in shipping/ports

Required Qualifications

Valid Clean UK Driving Licence

Travel

Travel may be required to work between various AHK locations to support the business needs.
You must be prepared to work in other locations with overnight stays where necessary.
