You and the role
Reporting to the HSEQ Manager the HSEQ Superintendent is responsible for assisting in the development and improvement of H&Ps Health Safety Environmental & Quality policies / procedures and for ensuring compliance with them in line with legislative requirements.
Primary responsibilities
- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the Group Management System Procedures.
- Work pro-actively with relevant clients to build strong relationships ensure their needs and requirements are understood met in a timely manner.
- Work closely with Offshore RSTCs to remain up to date on current operations and track progress against audit and activity plans.
- Assist in the preparation of annual health safety and environmental plans which set performance objectives and targets. Delivering on any plan items delegated in a timely manner.
- Be fully conversant with existing and new statutory legislation regulations and codes of practice affecting H&Ps operations in the North Sea participating in key industry forums when required.
- Conduct audits of installations Group premises warehouse and storage yards in accordance with Group Procedures as defined in the annual audit plan.
- Promote safety campaigns and systems of work both on and offshore within the UK
- Investigating the reporting of all incidents in liaison with relevant personnel occurring on relevant H&P work locations ensuring these are properly reported investigated actioned to prevent recurrence and recorded in CATS.
- Promote compliance with H&Ps HSE Minimum Standards within the UK.
- Assist Rig Mangers in creating managing and closing out actions in a timely manner.
- Assist in the completion of tender bids (as required) ensuring details are factual and promote the company in a positive manner.
- Assist in the maintenance of the Environmental Management System and support base Ecologic Teams
- Assist in the maintenance of the Quality Management System ensuring internal external & offshore audits are planned completed recorded and actions closed out in a timely manner to ISO 9001 Standards.
- Balance changing priorities across UK North Sea operations.
- Offshore visits as and when required.
Experience
- Knowledge of QHSE processes procedures and policies ensuring effective application and continuous improvement
- Experience of working in a high-volume transaction processing environment ideally QHSE
- Familiar with HSE databases

Minimum qualifications essential
- NEBOSH General certificate/ NVQ Level 3 in Occupational Health and Safety recognised lead incident investigation (e.g. Taproot/ Topset) and internal recognised auditor qualifications essential.
- NEBOSH Diploma/ NVQ level 4/5 and Lead Auditor qualifications desirable.
