Registration Service Manager/Superintendent Registrar
Permanent
Grade
Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review
Working 36.5 hours per week

Responsible for the management of the countrys busiest Civil Registration service you will have the overall legal responsibility for ensuring that statutory requirements are met and that regulations and instructions from the Registrar General are carried out.

You will hold the personal and statutory responsibility for the custody and security of deposited registers of births deaths and marriages and their maintenance and restoration.

You will manage a large team based both at the Birmingham Register Office and also working peripatetically performing ceremonies at licensed premises across the city ensuring that advice guidance and rulings to registration staff are given in all matters relating to civil registration and for ensuring the efficient and effectiveness of the service provided to the public.

If you have previous managerial and civil registration experience then this may be the opportunity for you.
