Job Title: Special Education Teacher Emotional Disabilities (Behavior Support)
Location: South Riding VA 20152
Contract: 27 weeks
Schedule: MondayFriday 7:00 AM 2:45 PM (7.75 hrs/day)
Pay Rate:$40 - $45/hr
Job Summary:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Special Education Teacher Emotional Disabilitiesfor an exciting job in South Riding VA.
Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized academic instruction aligned with IEPs
Implement behavior intervention plans and evidence-based strategies
Maintain consistent structure routines and clear expectations
Monitor student progress and collect behavioral and academic data
Lead crisis-response interventions and utilize de-escalation techniques
Collaborate with related services and general education staff
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress
Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and legal standards
Required Qualifications:
Valid Virginia Teaching License with Special Education endorsement
Experience in a behavioral/emotional disabilities classroom
Strong crisis-management and behavior intervention skills
Knowledge of trauma-informed and restorative practices preferred
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
CPR/First Aid certification preferred
