Position Summary:
The Athletic Director serves asa designatedrepresentative for conducting the interscholastic athletics program at Responsive ED. The incumbent oversees selection and management of coaches day to day administrative operations game supervision compliance communications and budgets of the schools athletic programs.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Experience:
- At least three years of teaching experience or student teaching.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully work with adolescent students in a school setting.
- At least Two (2) years of coaching experiencebility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Must be willing to coach while maintaining the essential duties and responsibilities of an Athletic Director.
- Ability to apply basic computer programs (spreadsheet MicrosoftWord Excel PowerPoint others) to enhance job performance.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develops and monitors the department budget and approves departmental purchases and athletic schedules.
- Assists staff members in professional matters as requested or as the need for such assistance is observed.
- Insures that the equipment is properly inventoried and maintained.
- Responsible for theadministering ofall interscholastic policies and procedures
- Helps evaluate all new coaching candidates for positions
- Responsible for all recommendations to the Campus Director for improvement of facilities.
- Coordinates with the campus for repair and maintenance of athletic areas
- Resolves conflicts that develop withinthe athleticdepartment.
- Maintains a current file of student-athletes.
- Constantly evaluates the program presents recommendations for changes in athletic policies to the Campus Director.
- Other duties as assigned
