Job purpose
Provide a vision and leadership to the maintenance department. Direct lean department in learning and performing lean concepts. Drive plant performance by focusing on reoccurrence prevention to reduce downtime and increase machine operational availability.
Duties and responsibilities
- Manages and responsible for overall vision and operation of the department.
- Oversees all installations repair and upkeep of machinery and facilities.
- Responsible for hiring training motivating and coaching employees in the maintenance department.
- Responsible for maintaining the department budget and capital expenses.
- Responsible for the overall downtime losses of the equipment in the facility
- Responsible for quoting work performed by outside contractors.
- Prioritize the maintenance and repairs of company equipment and assets.
- Control and monitor inventory in MRO Storeroom.
- Implementation and management of CMMS PM and PO Request Systems.
- Responsible for management level LPA plant audits.
- Responsible for monthly reporting or CMMS System and setting goals for counter measuring of reoccurring issues.
- Responsible for the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor Maintenance Engineer and Maintenance Technologist in eliminating reoccurring issues.
- Implement safety policies and procedures for the department.
- Performs appraisal on direct reports.
Qualifications
- Minimum Associates of Applied Science Degree in related field
- Past working experience in related Automotive Manufacturing Field
- Ability to develop coach and mentor Supervisors and Technicians
- Ability to understand PLCs Robotics and Injection Molding Processes
- Ability to lead and interact with a variety of personalities
- CMRP Certification Journeyman Electrical License
- Proficient in Computer related skills including Access Excel Word and Power point
Working conditions
- Basic PPE; Safety glasses Hearing protection Steel Toe shoes.
- Inside working conditions: temperatures varying from 40-110 degrees.
Physical requirements
- Standing and sitting for long periods.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.
- Ability to work any shift or assignment.
