Job Summary
Duties & Responsibilities
Our client in the frozen food industry based in Montague Gardens is looking for a Warehouse Manager to join their growing team to oversee packing areas and manage their warehouse efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills excellent organizational abilities and a thorough understanding of stock control processes. This role requires someone who can effectively manage a team optimize warehouse operations and ensure accurate inventory management.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Supervision: Provide effective leadership and supervision to packing area staff and warehouse personnel.
- Inventory Management: Ensure accurate and timely recording of all stock movements including receiving picking packing and shipping.
- Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control measures to maintain the highest standards of product handling and packing.
- Operational Efficiency: Optimize warehouse layout workflows and processes to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards to create a safe working environment for all employees.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports on stock levels warehouse performance and any issues or discrepancies encountered.
- Communication: Coordinate with other departments such as logistics and procurement to ensure smooth operations and effective communication across the organization.
- Problem Solving: Address any issues or challenges that arise promptly and effectively implementing solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Inventory Reconciliation: Conduct regular stock checks and reconciliation to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or stock control environment.
- Strong understanding of stock control principles and inventory management processes.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask prioritize and problem-solve effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and reporting.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and related software.
SALARY
R35 000 (negotiable)
