Job Summary

Be part of a team focused on increasing adoption of Amazon Web Services by developing strategic accounts with the Fortune 1000. This is an opportunity to be a driver in AWSs further representation as a key technology platform provider.

As an Account Manager you will have the exciting opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future of an emerging technology. Your responsibilities will include driving revenue adoption and market saturation in Enterprise accounts with a large emphasis on accounts with high growth potential. The ideal candidate will possess both a sales and technical background that enables them to drive an engagement at the CXO level as well as with software developers and IT architects. They should also be a self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute against a territory coverage plan and consistently deliver on quarterly revenue targets.

ATTENTION:
This role is only available in cities listed. Candidates must be located in that greater area in order to be in the field with customers and utilize our office space when needed. We cannot offer other locations at this time.

Key job responsibilities
Drive digital transformation through meaningful engagement with C-level executives IT leaders architects developers and various lines of businesses of your this role you will represent the entire portfolio of AWS products and services across the strategic accounts you manage within the Enterprise customer market segment. With AWS our customers benefit from the fastest pace of innovation the broadest and deepest functionality the most secure computing environment and the most proven operational expertise.

- Drive revenue and market share in a defined territory or industry vertical
- Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets
- Develop and execute against a comprehensive account/territory plan
- Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services
- Accelerate customer adoption
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline
- Work with partners to extend reach & drive adoption
- Manage contract negotiations
- Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts
- Ensure customer satisfaction
- Expect moderate travel

- 5 years of full sales cycle technology sales or equivalent business development sales engineering/consulting or equivalent experience
- Bachelors degree or equivalent

- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
- Experience in technology sales selling enterprise software networking infrastructure managed hosting services or cloud computing services
- Experience driving new business in greenfield accounts at the C-suite level or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $83100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
