Job Summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in information systems computer engineering or a related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience with procurement and contract management and development and oversight with enterprise technology vendors and solutions including development of specifications solicitations and direct negotiation.
  • Five (5) years of experience in industry-standard system security practices and protocols and development of internal security policies.
  • Direct experience in developing and managing enterprise disaster recovery/business continuity plans.
  • Direct experience in implementing Agile project management concepts for IT operations projects preferred. Project Management Institute Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Valid Florida Drivers License.

Responsibilities

  • Direct coordinate and manage end-user technical support services for all supported District technology systems.
  • Manage the development oversight and continuous improvement of technical support processes at the school and District levels for all support services provided by District staff and support contractors.
  • Manage vendor compliance with support procedures and service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Manage development training and oversight of District-wide technology inventory processes.
  • Maintain knowledge of evolving trends in the technology industries with specific focus on the K-12 vertical.
  • Manage development of specifications for formal procurement solicitations and/or manage direct vendor negotiation processes for the procurement of new technical solutions.
  • Manage contracts and vendor relationships for all client-side technologies.
  • Manage procurement accounting inventory and distribution of technology to schools and departments through the District Technology Plan project.
  • Support and develop department staff by providing advice and coaching and identifying educational opportunities.
  • Lead efforts to increase team effectiveness by identifying and implementing best practices developing processes and identifying systems and toolsets that increase functionality productivity and compliance.
  • Collaborate to develop and maintain the organizations disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
  • Direct supervise and evaluate performance of department staff related to specified area of responsibility.
  • Develop and deliver training in classroom and distance learning environments.
  • Communicate with related agencies including federal state and local to ensure the department is in compliance with related laws codes and regulations.
  • Direct and supervise contractors providing client-side installation and repair services for District technology.
  • Monitor school technical support staff performance to identify training needs and provide targeted instruction.
  • Complete and maintain industry and manufacturer specific technical certification(s).
  • Maintain the confidentiality of records and District information in accordance with local state and federal laws.
  • Utilize common industry and organizational tools for project management technical support documentation and communication.
  • Generate creative solutions to District challenges.
