Role Definition
Supports electrical process maintenance activities in a manufacturing setting and leads electrical projects when assigned.
Responsibilities
- Performing or assisting in routine maintenance or construction work.
- Serving as first line of support for advanced electrical problems and work requests.
- Assisting and supporting manufacturing and other related departments.
- Mentoring and developing new electrical technicians within the maintenance department.
Requirements:
- Degree: Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
- Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
- Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit receive and accurately interpret ideas information and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. Also the ability to collaborate with multiple functional groups
- Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches tools techniques for recognizing anticipating and resolving organizational operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
- Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan organize monitor and control projects ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches tools and techniques; ability to anticipate recognize and resolve technical issues on hardware software application or operation.
Top Candidates will also have:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word PowerPoint Excel and PowerBI)
- Expertise working with Allen Bradley and/or Siemens
- Experience troubleshooting advanced electrical problems of heavy industrial machinery (primarily foundry or machining equipment)
Additional Information:
- This position is located in Mapleton IL.
- Travel Requirements: 0-10% (or 1-2 times per year domestically).
