DescriptionPrimary Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in developing test software and automation solutions for new product introductions focusing on VCSEL and optical transceiver testing
- Engage in the creation and maintenance of test systems and documentation for a range of products ensuring scalability and efficiency
- Participate in the development and debugging of device drivers and embedded testing for test boards contributing to system validation and reliability testing
- Collaborate with experienced engineers to learn and contribute to test solutions deployed in manufacturing environments
- Gain hands-on experience with hardware interfacing multi-threaded programming and software development life cycle in a real-world setting
- Implement new algorithms and tests in the field of image processing and A//ML test optimizations
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or related field
- Strong interest in and basic understanding of image processing machine learning embedded systems and/or test automation
Skills
- Familiarity with basic lab equipment (oscilloscopes multimeters etc.) is advantageous
- Experienced in any object-oriented programming language C#/.NET skill would be preferred
- Familiarity with data analysis using Excel JMP or R
- Basic knowledge of electronics components circuits and understanding of protocols like USB I2C
- Strong problem-solving abilities attention to detail and effective communication skills
- Work effectively with other members of Coherent Corp
Working Conditions
- Should be flexible to work out of office hours
- Temporary travel to other Coherent sites may be required
- Onsite on all 5 days
