Senior Systems Engineer – Compute & Sensor Diagnostics for Autonomous Vehicles

Work Arrangement:

This role is hybrid you are expected to report to Markham Elevation Centre three times a week at minimum.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of systems development activities related to the applicable system with a strong focus on diagnostics

• Ensure engineering deliveries are compliant with government regulations such as OBD II system safety and GM best practices

• Provide diagnostic oversight and act as primary point of contact for concerns and questions related to system/component(s)

• System Technical Specification development along with FMEA analysis will be fundamental aspects of the position

• Lead peer reviews to ensure compliance to requirements

• Communicates information to both internal and external customers

Required Skills

• 3 year of experience in requirements development software development integration verification or testing or implementing ISO 26262 and ASIL standards.

• Experience with vehicle grade integration of sensor such as Cameras Vision Systems Ultrasonics and LIDAR

• Exposure to integrity-based diagnostic design principles FMEA and systems thinking

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Skills

• 3 year of experience developing hardware and/or software diagnostics

• Ability to read/understand source code (C/C) and Simulink models

• Knowledge of 1968.2 OBDII Regulatory requirements

• General knowledge of automotive systems (Active Safety Powertrain Chassis and/or CAN/LIN communication)

• Experience in automotive product release and specification process
