What Youll Do
Conduct site reviews and inspections for building systems and BC Hydrotype projects.
Assist with electrical design: diagrams layouts specs and reports.
Perform calculations and analyses in compliance with codes and standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet scope budget and schedule.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering two (2) years of relevant experience with Power Systems focus from an accredited postsecondary institution.
Knowledge of electrical design and commissioning preferably including hydropower station electrical systems substation design and/or protection and control.
Preferred Qualifications
2 years related industry and engineering design experience in a multidisciplinary electrical power and/or instrumentation & control environment (hydro experience preferred).
Registered Professional in Canada (EGBC preferred) as an EngineerinTraining (EIT) or eligibility to quickly obtain EGBC registration.
Exposure to Canadian Electrical Code IEEE NFPA NEMA and other recognized standards.
Experience producing tender documents: P&IDs singleline diagrams wiring diagrams load schedules cable/tray calculations instrumentation lists/spec sheets and electrical studies.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit MEP; MS Office Suite.
Strong analytical skills attention to detail and excellent English communication.
Exposure to utility design practices (BC Hydro) is a strong asset.
