Reports To: Adult Education Program Coordinator
Location: Enfield Public Schools Adult Education Program
Employment Type: Temporary/Seasonal (Evenings and/or Weekends as scheduled)
Class Description
Responsible for planning instructing administering and evaluatingweb-baseddiagnostic and assessment instruments for clients in the National External Diploma Program following all CCBC/CAFL/NEDP/CASAS Maryland Department of Labor guidelines.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors Degree required Masters degree preferred
- One year of adult education experience and/or teaching adults.
- One year of experience with the administration of computer-based curriculum.
- Must meet program administration qualifications as required by CASAS and pass all NEDP Advisor/Assessor certifications within 90 days of training.
- Proficient with technology including use of the Internet for research purposes as well as proficiency in software applications: Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint
Class Specific Essential Duties
- Responsible for maintaining and updating client schedules and client program records.
- Provide structured guidance for open laboratory student learning in academic areas including but not limited to higher-level reading writing math skills to include algebra and geometry test preparation and technology.
- Instruct clients in the use of online NEDP present all program materials to clients and evaluate clients submitted work both virtually and face-to-face.
- Identify and resolve various program assessment issues such as discrepancies system/computer technical problems potential academic honesty and code of conduct violations security concerns and inconsistencies in service as well as complaints and concerns efficiently and effectively.
- Review and evaluate clients electronic portfolios.
- Communicate effectively to clients the results of the evaluation process.
- Assist clients with establishing short- and long-range goals and objectives.
- Collect necessary data from clients.
- Attend scheduled staff meetings and staff development sessions.
