Job Title: C Software Engineer RIB Graphics Team

The job
Join the team behind RIB CostX one of the worlds most advanced construction estimating platforms. Were looking for a C Software Engineer with hands-on experience in CAD software or architectural drawing formats to help evolve our takeoff and measurement capabilities. Youll work on core components that process complex building plans and integrate with BIM workflows.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a technically rich environment and is excited by the challenge of building scalable high-performance tools for the construction industry. Bonus if you bring experience in front-end development (i.e. React) or rendering technologies.
Key responsibilities
Develop and maintain C modules for drawing interpretation measurement automation and BIM integration
Enhance support for architectural formats such as DWG PDF and IFC
Collaborate with product managers and UX designers to deliver intuitive user experiences
Optimize rendering and visualization of 2D/3D drawings for accurate takeoff
Ensure performance stability and scalability across native and web environments
Participate in agile development cycles code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
Contribute to front-end features using React (bonus).
5 year experience preferred.
Essential requirements
Strong proficiency in modern C (C11 or later)
Experience with CAD software architectural drawing formats or BIM tools
Familiarity with file parsing geometry processing and rendering pipelines
Understanding of construction workflows and digital takeoff processes
Solid grasp of software engineering principles and design patterns
Desired skills and competencies
Experience with or similar front-end integration
Knowledge of rendering libraries (e.g. OpenGL WebGL)
Familiarity with BIM standards and interoperability frameworks
Exposure to cloud-based collaboration or SaaS platforms
