Senior DevOps Engineer Networking & Security AWS

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in Sydney this role you will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining secure and scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS with a focus on networking and security.

• Collaborate with development teams to streamline the deployment and management of applications on AWS
• Design and implement secure network architectures including VPCs security groups and network access controls
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools like Terraform Ansible and CloudFormation
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable software delivery
• Monitor and troubleshoot application and infrastructure performance leveraging tools like CloudWatch ELK and Prometheus
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for cloud security and networking
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide timely incident response and resolution
• Mentor and guide junior team members in DevOps practices and AWS technologies

Qualifications :

• Proficiency in AWS services (EC2 VPC Security Groups IAM CloudFormation etc.)
• Experience with networking and security concepts (firewalls load balancers VPNs etc.)
• Expertise in DevOps practices (CI/CD Infrastructure as Code containerization etc.)
• Scripting and automation skills (Python Bash Ansible Terraform etc.)
• Monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch ELK Prometheus Grafana etc.)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a DevOps or similar role
• Proven track record of deploying and managing applications on AWS
• Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional or equivalent certification
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration (preferred)
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices (AWS Security Hub GuardDuty etc.) (preferred)
• Experience in a highly regulated or security-conscious industry (finance healthcare etc.) (preferred)
• Involvement in designing and implementing secure network architectures (preferred)
