The Opportunity

We have a rare opening for someone looking for a new career in remote operations as a USV Trainee to pilot Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USV) across various offshore projects. If you are curious about trying something new in remote systems this could be a great fit for you.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in piloting and navigating USVs under supervision learning to maintain spatial awareness and monitor vessel positioning.
  • Assist in eROV operations including launch and recovery from the USV piloting and maintenance.
  • Support the launch recovery and safe operation of USV systems following established safety protocols.
  • Learn to use sonar acoustic positioning radar and other subsea and marine navigational tools to aid in remote operations.
  • Help maintain USV equipment and systems in line with planned maintenance schedules including basic fault identification.
  • Accurately record operational data dive logs and maintenance activities while adhering to company procedures and safety standards.

We are looking for:

  • A strong interest in marine technology remote operations or autonomous systems.
  • Basic understanding of navigation principles subsea and maritime. (training will be provided).
  • Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures in offshore and remote environments.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a collaborative team.

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience in a technical mechanical or maritime setting.
  • Electrical background communications & networking.
