Job Description
Our client a service based organization located in Halifax NS is seeking an Interim Director Financeto provide financial leadership to its long standing organization. This is a 2-3 month contract with strong potential for permanent employment.
Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Prepare period-end financial statements and working papers
- Reconcile general ledger accounts
- Record period-end adjustments
- Prepare schedules and documentation for external audits
- Coordinate year-end tax filings
- Manage a small accounting team
- Other year-end related duties and projects as assigned
- Chartered Professional Accountant designation
- Proven experience in a lead finance role ideally within a privately held business environment
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to see the big picture while also ensuring attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a hands-on collaborative approach
- Self-motivated and results oriented
