Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled General Accounting Analyst within our Global Business Services (GBS). This role will be responsible for the day-to-day processing of general accounting transactions ensuring accuracy in entries while compiling financial reports and analysis.
Accountabilities
Manage daily financial data entry in the ERP system ensuring accuracy and completeness and prepare and post journal entries along with general ledger account reconciliations.
Execute monthly quarterly and annual closings making necessary adjustments to capture all financial activities and facilitate the general accounting process by supplying detailed financial data for management review.
Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts providing insightful reports and conducting financial variance analysis to deliver actionable insights for informed decision-making.
Prepare and present financial reports that ensure compliance with accounting standards and local regulations while collaborating with various departments to integrate financial data and streamline processes.
Develop ad-hoc reports and support special projects such as financial data analysis and process improvements.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
Bachelors degree in finance accounting Business Administration or a related field
1 - 3 years of relevant experience with general accounting.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and generate reports.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
Technical Skills and Knowledge
Essential:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with financial software such as Oracle ERP Suite
Familiarity with Hyperion Finance Management (HFM)
Solid regional accounting knowledge (i.e. US GAAP and IFRS)
Languages
(Mexico: Fluency in English and proficiency in Spanish both spoken and written is required. Portuguese is a plus.
Collaboration First Hybrid Work Arrangements:
This role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office at least three days per week. Colleagues are expected to demonstrate a collaboration first mindset which is the understanding that teams will work together in-person and colleagues should be flexible to adjust their hybrid days based on business needs. You will have an opportunity to work with your team and leader to determine when you should be in office to drive meaningful connections and to best serve our customers.
