Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM excluding State holidays

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with advanced AI engineering capabilities to strengthen and transform our software development lifecycle through artificial intelligence automation and intelligent operational insights. This role focuses on applying AI/ML techniques to internal SDLC optimization reliability engineering and automation maturity rather than supporting external AI/ML products. The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of modern development DevOps practices and AI-driven tooling while collaborating closely with infrastructure cloud and development teams to reduce toil improve observability and streamline workflows.

Position Summary
The Software Engineer 3 analyzes system needs studies information workflows evaluates business and technical processes and develops solutions that address identified challenges. This position determines specifications designs systems aligned with organizational standards investigates problem areas and prepares installs and supports system solutions. A primary responsibility will be advancing AI-enabled automation across SDLC functions.

Key Responsibilities
* Design and implement AI/ML models that enhance SDLC processes including:
* Developer productivity and experience improvements
* Intelligent test management and predictive analytics
* Predictive detection of infrastructure risks or failures
* Agentic AI MCP implementation and RAG frameworks
* Intelligent alerting and noise-reduction systems
* Automated incident classification and root-cause analysis
* CI/CD pipeline optimization leveraging historical data
* Generative AI for Infrastructure-as-Code
* Other innovative AI/automation use cases

* Partner with Development DevOps Cloud and Infrastructure teams to identify automation opportunities and operational gaps.
* Develop automation tooling and scripts to reduce manual work streamline processes and improve user experience.
* Build deploy and maintain AI/ML pipelines to continuously improve DevOps-focused models.
* Produce architecture and design documentation for proposed solutions.
* Ensure the reliability scalability and performance of AI-driven automation systems.
* Integrate AI solutions into monitoring logging and observability ecosystems.
* Perform system analysis troubleshooting diagnosis and performance tuning.
* Create required technical architectural and design documentation.
* Manage GitHub Enterprise Administration including:
* Repository management branching and access control
* Workflow automation with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD platforms
* Code quality integration processes and governance rules
* Support Agile Scrum and DevOps methodologies.
* Provide user training operational support and escalation assistance as needed.
* Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent experience
* Three or more years in development or automation engineering
* Strong background in cloud-native platforms such as AWS Azure or GCP
* Proficiency in automation and scripting languages preferably Python
* Strong understanding of CI/CD frameworks and DevOps tools
* Experience applying AI/ML methods to engineering problems including anomaly detection clustering or classification
* Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as Scikit-learn PyTorch or TensorFlow
* Working knowledge of observability logging and monitoring systems
* Experience working in developer IDEs such as Eclipse IBM Rational Application Developer or STS

Preferred Skills
* Experience with anomaly detection predictive analytics or time-series forecasting
* Familiarity with MLOps practices for internal AI model management
* Experience integrating AI solutions into DevOps pipelines and platforms
* Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code such as Terraform Pulumi or CloudFormation
* Experience with Hyper-V virtual machine management
* Asset and service account management experience
* Experience working with BMC Helix ticketing systems

Additional Information
The candidate may be required to work outside standard business hours including evenings weekends or holidays depending on project needs.

Minimum Requirements
* Eight years of proven experience administering GitHub Enterprise Cloud
* Eight years of experience analyzing and resolving complex technical issues
* Eight years of experience supporting and training end users across varying skill levels
* Eight years of hands-on experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery models

Preferred Experience
* Three years supporting large-scale development initiatives within Agile environments
