Reporting to the Business Unit Manager and Facilities the Maintenance Mechanic Technician provides support to the site to ensure that all site building facilities and equipment/ machines are running smoothly. This is a critical role that interacts with a diverse set of priorities to deliver resolutions to ongoing needs. You will interact with internal and external customers across multiple areas such as equipment and machines on the manufacturing floor. At Parker you will cultivate a strong culture by participating in High Performance Teams and operating in LEAN manufacturing.
Responsibilities
Hydraulic experience is a plus.
Basic electrical knowledge is a plus.
Good manual dexterity and hand to eye coordination.
Must have good mechanical skills trouble shooting ability.
Strong communication skills written as well as verbal.
Ability to work independently and within a team with internal and external parties in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to perform basic math reading writing and computer skills such as basic addition subtraction multiplication and use of Microsoft Office.
Must demonstrate effective organizational and verbal/written English. communication skills.
Ability to stand for long periods of time work across different weather and building conditions and use ladders power tools and other materials. Ability to lift and or move up to 40 lbs.
Additional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesQualifications
U.S. Citizenship or have U.S. Permanent Resident Status required.
GED or High School Diploma required. Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.
4-6 years experience required in an industrial work environment. Experience with pneumatics hydraulics basic electrical and PLC logic is preferred.
Ability to obtain state licenses (Massachusetts Wastewater Operator 3I Second Class Fireman Journeyman Plumber Journeyman Electrician)
