Job Summary

Visas Global Data & Platform Services team is seeking a Product Analyst to support the strategy development and optimization of Visas Data Production capabilities including data processing pipelines and real-time data streaming platforms. This role is critical in enabling analytics AI ML realtime decisioning and enterprise data initiatives across Visa.

As a Product Analyst you will work closely with product managers engineering teams data scientists business stakeholders and governance partners to gather requirements analyze data track product performance and ensure our data platforms meet business needs. You will support roadmap planning user adoption feature validation and operational improvements.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly analytical detail-oriented and passionate about data products and largescale platforms.

Essential Functions

Product Analysis & Requirements

  • Partner with product managers to translate business needs into detailed requirements user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Analyze user needs platform gaps and data requirements to support enhancements to data pipelines and streaming services.
  • Conduct impact assessments for new features data dependencies and system changes.
  • Support backlog refinement by identifying priority items from customer feedback issue logs and business impact.

CrossFunctional Collaboration

  • Work with engineering teams to clarify requirements participate in grooming sessions and support feature validation.
  • Engage stakeholders across data science business intelligence governance and regional teams to gather feedback and understand localized needs.
  • Assist in preparing product documentation release notes presentations and user communication.

Operational Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Support user onboarding training materials and process documentation for Data Production platforms.
  • Monitor issues identify root causes and partner with engineering for resolution.
  • Assist in evaluating new tools technologies or design improvements that enhance data processing efficiency or reliability.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure that data product requirements align with Visas privacy security and data governance standards.
  • Support audits compliance reviews and documentation needed for internal controls.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager. 


Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications:
3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications:
4 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD)
3 years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or
An Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) with 0 years of experience or
35 years of experience as a Product Analyst Data Analyst Business Analyst or related role.
Experience working with data engineering concepts data pipelines streaming technologies or large-scale data platforms.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehouses databases or big data tools.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS GCP Azure) and analytics tools (e.g. Tableau Looker Power BI).
Experience working in Agile Scrum environments writing user stories and supporting iteration planning.
Excellent communication and documentation skills with the ability to translate technical information for business stakeholders.
Strong problem solving abilities attention to detail and comfort working with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of payments financial services or data governance concepts is a plus.
Advanced degree in a technical or analytical field is desirable.
