This state-of-the-art facility specializes in primary care outpatient surgery imaging and more. The Operating Room at Coral Springs FHC is an ambulatory surgery centerbased department with 4 operating rooms 2 shelled operating rooms 2 endo procedure rooms and 26 pre/post bays. As Nurse Manager of the OR you will play an essential role in the practice and delivery of patient care. You will supervise all aspects of personnel management and development while maintaining adherence to regulatory standards. This position requires communication skills compassion empathy patience and a team mindset. A caregiver in this role works days from 7:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Manage theoperation andpractice of professional nursing and delivery of nursing care on an assigned unit.

  • Establish clinical direction of nursing care provide clinicalsupervisionandmaintainquality outcomes and patient care standards.

  • Identifyand resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care.

  • Develop quality initiatives and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit.

  • Supervise caregivers and promote development.

  • Maintain adherence to JCAHO and other regulatory standards.

  • Develop andmonitorbudgets approvepurchasesandestablish/revise inventory quotes.

  • Analyze personnel structure anddeterminestaffing needs.

  • Evaluate performance conductselectionand terminationprocessesand develop strategic plans.

  • Participate in clinical nursing research and support foundation research activities.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Bachelors degree inNursing(BSN)

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or through American Red Cross within first year of hire

  • Three years of recent clinical nursing experience including at least one year of healthcare management experience

  • High degree of clinicalexpertisein the specialty area

  • Demonstrated leadership management communication counseling problem solving decision making conflict resolution and group process skills

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Two years of progressive leadership experience

  • Ambulatory Surgery Center experience

  • Supervisory experience

  • Prior acute care experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires full range of motion including handling and lifting patients manual and finger dexterity and eye and hand coordination.

  • Requires frequent data entry sitting standing and walking.

  • Requires corrective vision and hearing to normal range.

  • Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.

  • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

  • Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
