The Team
Join our established Provincial Aviation Team made up of up to seven dedicated professionals during peak fire this role youll work closely with the Aviation Procurement Specialist and connect with teams across the province including regional fire centres and airtanker operations. The Role
In this role you will be responsible for providing aviation logistics and administrative support for the Provincial Aviation Team at the Provincial Wildfire Coordination Centre (PWCC) as well as support to the 6 Regional Fire Centres. You will work on finalizing Standing Arrangements with over 120 suppliers receiving and processing invoices for a variety of aviation services data entry creating and updating documents used provincially as well as functioning as the rostered Provincial Aviation Logistics Officer (PALO) during fire season. This is a great opportunity to gain administrative contract and aviation logistics experience and support emergency response efforts that directly impact communities. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Experience working in an office setting and computerized systems

Preference statement(s)

  • Preference may be given to candidates with financial administration experience


Provisos /Willingness statement(s)

  • Valid Class 5 drivers licence
  • To be flexible regarding ongoing changes in responsibilities assignments and corporate structures.
  • To keep current on emerging issues.
  • To take inhouse training and certification as required.
  • To fly in aircraft (fixed wing and rotary) as required.
  • To work extended hours including weekends and be on standby with limited notice in accordance with the preparedness plan.
  • To travel and overnight in remote locations where accommodates may vary as required.
  • To participate in Incident Command System (ICS) positions as required.
  • To work under adverse or stressful conditions including smoke extreme heat and mountainous terrain in remote and isolated conditions.

About this Position:
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 2 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
Flexible work options may not be available during emergency operations response periods.
This temporary (auxiliary) opportunity starts in approximately February 2026 and ends October 26 2026 with possibility of recall on a yearly basis.
This position may be extended.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary vacancies.
A Criminal Record Check (CRC) will be required.
