Direct and supervise all activities related to the Library Program. Provide library services and resources that meet the needs of students and staff which supports the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks. Ensure access to print and electronic resources by maintaining an accurate and efficient circulation system. Assist teachers in developing resource-based classroom activities. Provide instruction to students in information literacy and technology skills as an integral part of the content and objectives of the Districts curriculum. Prepare students to become effective users of ideas and information from a variety of resources within and beyond school using technological tools. Plan and administer the annual budget for library materials based on the district and school purchase organize and maintain library materials and supplies. Promote the love of reading and appreciation of literature. Encourage the development of critical thinking and independent learning. Convey the Library Programs goals and objectives to administration and the school community. Participate in professional growth activities as directed by the administration. Adhere to all applicable laws and district procedures and policies. Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent for Instruction and/or Principal. Long Term Substitute:$301.97 per day Bachelors Degree $331.15 per day Masters Degree
