GRAPHIC DESIGN - LONG TERM SUBSTITUTE
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Graphic Design program prepares students to plan analyze and create visual solutions to a variety of real-world communication challenges. The instructor will teach students to combine imagery and visual text to effectively deliver messages for a variety of purposes including advertising displays promotional materials and instructional manuals. Additionally the instructor teaches students to create strong page layout compositions using the foundational principles of design color theory and typography. Second-year students build upon their skills learned in their first year and begin to explore a variety of animation techniques. The main software used in the program is Adobe Creative Cloud. High school sophomores juniors and seniors enroll in the program for 1 or 2 years 3 hours per day. The Graphic Design substitute will work with students in the Career Center sending school corporation designs and project needs as class projects and experiences for students to practice their skills.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 21 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or related postsecondary degree depending on work experience.
Demonstrate good oral and written communication skills.
Graphic Design education/training is preferred.
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud preferred.
Complete a criminal history check and CPR training.
HOURS:
Monday - Friday 8:00am-3:30pm
