Process Engineer
Location: Charleston SC (On-Site)
Compensation: $87500 - $105000
Work Authorization: US Citizen or Green Card required

About the Role
Our client a recognized North American leader within their manufacturing segment is seeking a Process Engineer for its largest and most advanced production facility located in Charleston SC. This position plays a critical role in elevating plant performance by transforming processes driving safety and championing continuous improvement initiatives.
You will serve as the plants process expertleading cross-functional initiatives optimizing performance and advancing engineering standards through Lean Six Sigma and TPM methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and sustain a strong Safety culture across plant operations.
- Ensure alignment with all corporate engineering standards.
- Serve as a technical expert for process improvement and operational excellence.
- Sponsor and lead Lean/Six Sigma projects targeting improved product performance reduced cost higher yields and shorter cycle times.
- Develop and coach teams to strengthen results communication and self-sufficiency.
- Analyze process concerns using statistical methods to identify gaps and corrective actions.
- Maintain and enhance Control Plans Standard Work FMEAs and related process documentation.
- Monitor safety first-pass quality and productivity KPIs to ensure performance objectives are met.
- Support TPM initiatives including PM data collection maintenance planning and continuous improvement of maintenance systems.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Chemical Materials or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive CI culture.
- Experience creating or revising FMEAs Control Plans JSAs and Standard Work.
- Proficient in MS Office; Minitab experience beneficial.
- Familiarity with TPM principles; maintenance experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated commitment to a zero-incident safety culture.
- Ability to travel as required.
