Danvers High School is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Long Term Substitute to cover a Business Education position beginning immediately. The teaching schedule includes sections of money matters (financial literacy) serving a diverse student ideal candidate will be a student-centered educator with strong content knowledge and a commitment to promoting financial understanding.Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging standards-based instruction in financial literacyPlan and implement meaningful lessons tailored to the needs of 9th-12th grade students as well as students in AcademicIntervention and RISE (a specialized support program).Foster a safe inclusive and supportive classroom environment that promotes respect positive student thinking and social-emotional learning.Assess student learning through a variety of formative and summative assessments; provide timely and constructive feedback.Collaborate with colleagues support staff and administrators to meet the academic and wellness needs of all students.Maintain accurate records of attendance grades and classroom activities.Communicate regularly and effectively with students families and school staff regarding student progress and classroom expectations.Support school-wide expectations and contribute to a positive school climate and culture.Embrace the vitality and positivity found in a high achieving high schoolThe Danvers Public School District is committed to the principle of equal opportunity in education and employment.
