About the Role

Are you passionate about working with young children and looking to start a rewarding career in education Oasis Academy Limeside is looking for an enthusiasticEarly Years Educator Apprenticeto join our vibrant and supportive team. As an apprentice youll work mainly withchildren aged 5 or belowin our Early Years/Foundation provision. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the classroom while studying for aLevel 3 Early Years Educator qualification.


Apprenticeship Summary


  • Hours:MondayFriday (35 hours per week shifts to be confirmed)
  • Pay:8.58 per hour (first 12 months) then National Minimum Wage
  • Qualification:Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship
  • Duration:19 months
  • Training:Online learning with regular support from a dedicated tutor at LMP Education as well as your in-school mentor
  • Location: Oasis Limeside Third Avenue Oldham OL8 3SB


Key Responsibilities

As an Early Years Educator Apprentice you will:

  • Support the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • To create a welcoming and inclusive environment foster positive relationships with children parents and colleagues and liaise with appropriate external agencies.
  • Work with teachers and teams to differentiate teaching resources materials and delivery.
  • Participate in planning implementing and evaluating learning activities with the teacher providing feedback to the teacher and children on their progress next steps and behaviour.
  • Support the teaching by monitoring assessing and recording pupils progress and next steps.
  • Assist in the creation development and review of individual pupil development plans (such as Education and Health Care Plans (ECHP))
  • Support students in developing and implementing their own personal and social development.
  • Assist the children with their physical care routines whilst encouraging their independence e.g. changing nappies eating dressing washing hands etc.
  • Participate in staff team and planning meetings.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5 GCSEs (grades A*-C/9-4) including English and Maths or equivalent (e.g. Functional Skills Level 2)
  • Previous experience with children is a bonus but not essential

Important Information

  • All apprentices must complete anEnhanced DBS checkbefore starting
  • You will be paid for both your working hours and time spent completing apprenticeship training
