What You Can Expect Working in the Licensed Electrician Position

The Licensed Electrician works under the direction of the Production Manager and is responsible for the installation repair and testing of electrical systems during the production of blast-resistant buildings and other industrial buildings. As a Licensed Electrician you are integral in supporting RedGuards goal of delivering customers a quality product on time. You may have the opportunity to work in other stages of the manufacturing process as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assembles installs tests and maintains electrical or electronic wiring equipment appliances apparatus or fixtures using hand tools or power tools.
• Inspects electrical systems equipment or components to identify hazards defects or the need for adjustment or repair and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Plans layouts and installs electrical wiring equipment or fixtures based on job specifications blueprints and local codes.
• Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types quantities and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates.
• Reviews and/or resolves manufacturing problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
• Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
• Maintains current electricians license or identification card to meet governmental regulations.
• Cross-trains and uses additional trade skills in multiple stages of the manufacturing process as assigned.
• Follows established safety and security rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work area and environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid electricians license.
• 5 years of commercial/industrial electrical experience.
• In-depth Knowledge of Electrical systems 12V 24V 120/208V 277/480V.
• Knowledge of single and three-phase systems.
• Understanding of data and fire alarm systems.
• Ability to read complex blueprints or technical drawings.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master-level electricians license.
