Job Summary
Are you a dedicated SEN TA who wants to make a tangible difference to pupils learning and wellbeing A friendly primary school in Waltham Forest is recruiting a SEN TA to join the inclusion team from January 2026.
The SEN TA will provide targeted support to pupils with a range of needs deliver evidence-based interventions support access to the curriculum and help pupils develop independence and social skills. This SEN TA role in Waltham Forest will include closely tracking progress contributing to personalised learning plans and assisting with transition arrangements. Induction and handover will be provided in advance of January 2026 to ensure the SEN TA is confident to start in January 2026.
Role responsibilities
- Provide focused one-to-one and small-group intervention to address individual learning goals.
- Adapt classroom resources scaffold tasks and support differentiated provision across Waltham Forest.
- Assist pupils with social communication and regulation strategies and promote positive interactions.
- Keep clear records of intervention outcomes contribute to review meetings and support transition planning.
- Work alongside therapists and the SENCo to implement agreed programmes and support family communication.
Person specification
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND in educational or specialist settings as a SEN TA.
- Good knowledge of practical strategies to support learning behaviour and communication.
- Patient observant and able to build positive relationships with pupils staff and families in Waltham Forest.
- Ready to begin January 2026 and to attend induction and training before January 2026.
