Role Purpose

The EYFS Teaching Assistant will support Nursery and Reception pupils aged 35. You will assist teachers in delivering high-quality learning experiences while providing targeted support for children with additional needs.

You will play a key role in supporting children with SEN EAL or behavioural and social-emotional challenges helping them engage with activities develop confidence and achieve their learning goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with delivery of EYFS curriculum through structured and play-based learning

• Support phonics early literacy numeracy and creative development

• Provide one-to-one or small group support for children with SEN or additional needs

• Encourage positive behaviour social skills and independence

• Support daily classroom routines transitions snack time and outdoor learning

• Observe assess and record childrens progress in line with EYFS framework

• Collaborate with teachers SENCO external specialists and parents

• Maintain safeguarding health and safety procedures

• Support childrens emotional wellbeing and social development

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience in EYFS or early years settings

• Understanding of child development and EYFS curriculum

• Experience or strong interest in supporting SEN and inclusive education
