Teaching Assistants are valued as key members of the EYFS team and are actively involved in daily routines learning activities and pupil support.
Due to an increase in pupils requiring additional support in Nursery and Reception the school is now seeking a caring and committed EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team.
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant you will support children aged 35 in Nursery and Reception helping them to develop early communication literacy numeracy and social skills. You will work closely with the class teacher and EYFS Lead to deliver engaging learning activities and provide targeted support to individual pupils.
A significant part of this role involves supporting children with SEN including autism speech and language difficulties developmental delay and emotional or behavioural needs. You will help ensure that all children can access learning in a calm safe and inclusive environment.
Support EYFS learning through structured activities and play-based learning
Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils requiring additional help
Support children with SEN including ASD ADHD and communication needs
Assist with phonics early reading mark-making and early maths
Promote positive behaviour emotional regulation and independence
Support daily routines such as transitions carpet time and snack time
Assist with outdoor learning and physical development activities
Observe assess and record childrens progress and achievements
Work collaboratively with teachers SENCO and external professionals
Support children with personal care needs where required
Maintain safeguarding health and safety procedures at all times

You should demonstrate:
Experience working in EYFS or early years settings
Understanding of child development and the EYFS framework
Experience or strong interest in supporting SEN pupils
