The SEN TA will provide targeted classroom support run interventions support social and emotional development and help pupils develop independence. This SEN TA role in Lambeth requires someone who can balance hands-on support with careful monitoring and reporting. Induction and comprehensive handover will be provided before January 2026 so the SEN TA can be fully prepared to start in January 2026.
Role responsibilities
- Deliver structured one-to-one and small-group teaching to address individual learning goals.
- Adapt classroom resources and scaffold tasks to enable curriculum access for pupils with SEND.
- Support behaviour strategies and social skills work modelling regulation techniques and positive interactions.
- Maintain detailed records of progress contribute to review meetings and liaise with families and specialists in Lambeth.
- Support smooth transitions between classes and year groups and prepare concise handovers for colleagues.
Person specification
- Experience working with children with additional needs and proven ability to deliver interventions as a SEN TA.
- Observant patient and able to use practical strategies to support learning communication and behaviour.
- Comfortable collaborating with teachers SENCo and external professionals across Lambeth.
- Available to commence January 2026 and to attend pre-start induction and training before January 2026.
