Role Responsibilities
As an SEN Teaching Assistant your role will involve:

Supporting emotional regulation and social development
Implementing behaviour management strategies in line with school policy
Working collaboratively with teachers SENCOs and support staff
Supporting learning during lessons interventions and unstructured times
Monitoring and recording pupil progress
Promoting independence and positive self-esteem
Assisting with personal care where required
Maintaining safeguarding standards at all times
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience working with SEN children or vulnerable individuals
A calm patient and resilient personality
Confidence in managing challenging behaviour
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine interest in child development and SEN education
A flexible and proactive approach
Previous experience in schools SEN provisions care settings or youth work is highly desirable though not essential for the right candidate.
