Summary: Security Engineers design implement and maintain security solutions to protect IT systems. They proactively monitor and mitigate risks ensuring compliance with organizational security policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy and maintain firewalls IDS/IPS and endpoint security solutions.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend mitigations.
- Monitor security alerts and incidents.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams for secure system integration.
- Implement access control and identity management solutions.
- Conduct security awareness training for staff.
- Maintain security documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Test and evaluate new security tools and technologies.
- Respond to and remediate security incidents promptly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Cybersecurity Computer Science or related field.
- 3-6 years of experience in IT security.
- Knowledge of network security encryption and authentication methods.
- Experience with SIEM tools and incident response.
Preferred Skills/Duties:
- CISSP CISM or similar certifications.
- Experience with cloud security (AWS Azure).
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices.
- Strong analytical troubleshooting and communication skills.
