Job Summary

About the role

The Principal Program Manager oversees planning delivery and evaluation of one core LLS program and all associated projects and services under the LLS State Plan partnering with the strategy and performance team external stakeholders project leads and other employees involved in delivery and overseeing statewide project teams.

We are looking for an individual who can:

  • Develop and design the program formulating program plans under the State Plan in collaboration with the strategy and performance director and their team.
  • Oversee and coordinate delivery of the program including influencing and collaborating with stakeholders involved in delivering the plan in the regions identifying interdependencies and facilitating collaboration knowledge sharing and integration necessary to maximise efficiencies and achieve required program outcomes.
  • Oversee the planning delivery and evaluation of statewide projects under the program supporting the project leads.
  • Partner with and act as the key LLS point of contact for external stakeholders who are critical to delivering the program and associated projects and services.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate program performance and outcomes managing risks and contingencies.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with subject matter experts and stakeholders to support program delivery in line with established plans and develop awareness of legislation strategy and policies promote compliance facilitate best practice outcomes and mitigate risk.
  • Manage and support own team sharing knowledge facilitating learning mentoring and supporting team members to build technical expertise and best practice.
  • Participate as a member of the leadership team.

About You

To be successful in this role our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of program management practices processes and outcomes.
  • Understanding of project management methods and practices
  • Demonstrated capability to oversee and influence a diverse range of activities engaging with and influencing a range of stakeholders both internal and external subject matter experts and building a collaborative team culture and approaches

*To be considered for an ongoing appointment applicants must be ongoing at either an equivalentor higher grade than this advertised vacancy (LLS Grade 8 or Clerk 11/12) OR on a current and valid talent pool at this grade or higher.

Alternatively if you do not meet the requirement for an ongoing appointment you may only be considered for a temporary appointment of up to 12 months.
