Our client a leading infrastructure delivery organisation is expanding its water and wastewater project portfolio and is seeking an experienced Mechanical & Electrical Project Engineer to join their Melbourne-based team. This role forms part of a long-term partnership delivering upgrades renewals and critical assets for metropolitan water networks.
You will play a key role in supporting tenders and project delivery across mechanical electrical and control systems works. The role involves coordinating construction engineering activities interpreting design specifications monitoring site progress and ensuring project documentation and compliance are maintained to high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinating and administering M&E engineering activities
Monitoring construction progress and reporting to project leads
Interpreting and translating design documentation into site execution
Assisting with construction budgets reporting and quality documentation
Maintaining records compliance reporting and project performance tracking
Working closely with project design and site teams across multiple asset upgrades
Requirements
Degree in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering
4 years experience in M&E commissioning control systems or related roles
Experience in water or wastewater infrastructure (preferred)
Strong understanding of treatment plants pumping systems filtration dosing systems and related assets
Experience working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 civil contractors (advantageous)
Strong documentation communication and problem-solving skills
