Job Title: Operating Room Technician / Certified Surgical Technician (CST)
Location: New York NY
Type: Contract
Shifts Available: 11PM - 7:15AM
Pay Rate: $58-$62/hr

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seekingOperating Room Technician / Certified Surgical Technicianfor an exciting Travel or Local job inNew York NY.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform scrub assignments including surgical scrubbing gowning and gloving procedures.
Set up sterile instrument tables and prepare supplies according to surgical procedures.
Assist with draping patients and operative areas; anticipate surgeon needs for instruments and supplies.
Maintain accurate counts of sponges needles and instruments; monitor aseptic techniques at all times.
Assist in handling and care of specimens application of dressings and patient transfers.
Support circulating nurse with supply preparation equipment setup and room cleanup.
Prepare medications or solutions under direct RN supervision; label and handle medications properly.
Maintain sterile storage areas update preference cards and assist in meeting operational needs.

Qualifications:

High school diploma required; coursework in operating room technology science biology or chemistry preferred.
CST (Certified Surgical Technician) certification required.
Experience in an operating room or labor & delivery (L&D) setting preferred.
Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques surgical procedures and sterile instrumentation.
Excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
Physical stamina and dexterity to perform OR tasks effectively.
