Per Diem: $125/day for eligible travelers
Schedule: 610s (MonSat 10 hrs/day) Occasional Sun as needed
Location: Odessa TX (cement manufacturing; MSHA-regulated site)
Language: Bilingual (English/Spanish) Highly preferred
Pay: $36.00$40.00/hr with current MSHA certification.
MSHA Electrical Blue Card (preferred)
Substantial rate increase based on credentials experience and scope ownership.
Role Overview
Field-centric HSE Technician ensuring compliance and safe operations across active plant areas (silos buildings conveyors). Majority of time is in the field conducting audits/inspections certifying and maintaining safety equipment managing hazardous/non-hazardous materials and delivering training reports and corrective actions that keep the site inspection-ready.
Key Responsibilities
Implement HSE policies JHAs contractor onboarding; support toolbox talks and orientations.
Conduct daily field audits; verify controls (LOTO fall protection hot work confined space); track corrective actions to closure.
Operate inspect calibrate certify and oversee installation of safety equipment (gas monitors fall-protection systems eyewash/showers fire systems).
Manage collection labeling storage transport and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials; maintain manifests/logs.
Strong case management with the ability to meet and maintain paperwork compliance.
- Highly proficient in client interface and communication with field peers
- Proficient in Word and Excel
Requirements
OSHA 500 strongly preferred; OSHA 510 acceptable.
Recent hands-on field HSE experience in industrial/mining/aggregates/cement/heavy construction.
Working knowledge of LOTO fall protection hot work confined space mobile equipment controls and contractor safety.
Strong verbal/written communication with craft and supervision; disciplined documentation.
Able to work 610s walk/stand long periods climb/elevated work lift 4050 lbs; heat/dust/noise PPE environment.
Bilingual (EN/ES) Highly preferred.
(Nice to have) MSHA site experience/cert; MSHA Electrical Blue Card; HAZWOPER 40/24; First Aid/CPR/AED; TapRooT/5-Why/SCAT.
