Ready for your next step in the water industry With strong growth across Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland were looking for motivated Water Technicians to join our teams based in Albany and Mt Wellington. Were seeking an experienced Water Technician to join our New Connections Water team working on a variety of interesting projects and delivering quality outcomes for our communities.
In this role you will:
Complete water service connections water quality checks and water assessments
Excavate trenches to the required depth by hand and/or using trenching tools
Lay and connect pipes in trenches using the correct materials and methods
Read and understand underground service plans accurately locate services and protect them during excavations
Undertake plant and equipment maintenance keeping accurate and up-to-date records

Were looking for someone with:
Has at least 2 years experience in a similar role
Holds a full Class 1 Driver Licence (Class 2 and WTR are preferred)
Ideally holds a Certificate in Water/Wastewater Treatment and Reticulation Maintenance
Understands the principles and technology of water/wastewater treatment and reticulation
Is safety-focused reliable and able to work well in a team
