Job Summary
We are growing our Westport laboratory team and are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our Geochemistry team on a fixedterm basis for six months.
In this role you will assist with the preparation analysis and reporting of Geochemistry samples while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive register prepare analyse and report samples in line with laboratory standard operating procedures
- Ensure results are reported accurately and within required timeframes
- Maintain rigorous quality and documentation practices
- Work closely with the Laboratory Manager and Quality Manager to support efficiency and risk management
- Carry out all work in accordance with Health & Safety requirements
- Undertake other tasks relevant to the role as required
Qualifications :
About You
- Previous experience preparing analysing and reporting samples (preferred)
- Qualifications in a sciencerelated discipline are desirable but not essential
- 2 to 5 years experience as a Laboratory Technician in a commercial Laboratory with high sample volumes and quick turnaround times/or Industrial Laboratory
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under time pressure
- Ability to maintain clear and accurate records
- Good computer skills with confidence in report writing and verbal communication
- A team player with good organisational and timemanagement skills.
