This role requires the individual to multitask across several concurrent tasks and assignments supporting Production Design and Quality groups. The individual will provide Materials Engineering support with guidance from senior level engineers. These activities can include materials and process selection completing customer deliverables technical problem solving failure analysis drafting specifications process development and execution of technical projects.
Location: Clearwater FL and Phoenix AZ
QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATION
- Pursuing a Bachelors Degree in an Engineering Materials Science Chemistry or Metallurgy discipline from an accredited from an accredited college or university
- Must graduate December 2026 or later
- Must continue enrollment in degree program upon completion of the internship
- Validated academic excellence (3.0 GPA and higher)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen due to contractual requirements

- Experience and knowledge supporting design and manufacturing of electronics assemblies (printed boards printed board assembly soldering / solder metallurgy conformal coating cable and wire harness assembly) mechanical assembly and joining (welding brazing fasteners adhesives) chemical processes (painting plating) castings composites.
- Experience and knowledge in the selection functionality and physical properties of materials.
- Experience reviewing/interpreting drawings material and process specifications and technical data sheets.
- Experience supporting production activities in a factory setting.
- Ability to independently convey technical ideas and concepts through team discussions presentations and in writing.
- Ability to independently create specific action plans prioritize time and resources effectively.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams to meet expectations of internal and external customers.

- Ability to quickly assimilate new concepts and information.

Interning at Honeywell provides hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies professional development and mentorship within a global organization. Interns will receive relocation benefits and short-term housing if they are 50 miles or more from their assigned work location (excluding Puerto Rico and Canada).
