Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fitter - Welder to join our Bin Maintenance team in this role you will be responsible for performing various welding and fitting tasks to support our manufacturing operations.
- Interpret blueprints technical drawings and welding specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of components
- Perform various welding techniques including MIG TIG and stick welding to join metal components and structures
- Fit and fabricate metal parts and assemblies using cutting shaping and forming techniques
- Conduct pre-weld and post-weld inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
- Maintain and operate welding equipment tools and machinery in a safe and efficient manner
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to meet production schedules and deadlines
Qualifications :
- Proficiency in various welding techniques including MIG TIG and stick welding
- Knowledge of welding codes standards and safety protocols
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and welding specifications
- Familiarity with welding equipment tools and machinery
- Proficiency in fitting and fabrication techniques
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Relevant experience as a fitter-welder or in a similar role
- Completion of a welding certification program or apprenticeship (preferred)
- Knowledge of welding materials and their properties
- Understanding of welding processes and techniques for different materials
- Familiarity with quality control and inspection procedures
