We are seeking a Maintenance Fitter to carry out in-field and workshop repairs. This role involves diagnosing mechanical electrical and hydraulic faults performing welding repairs and completing scheduled preventative maintenance in line with company requirements.
Responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining vehicle records by annotating all inspections servicing and repairs on job sheets.
- Maintaining vehicles and associated equipment according to company policy and vendor-recommended programmes.
- Conducting vehicle and body/unit servicing in accordance with the Preventative Maintenance Programme.
- Promoting and maintaining safe work practices at all times.
- Carrying out fault diagnostics and repairs in the workshop.
- Responding to breakdowns and restoring equipment to working order efficiently.
- Performing welding and general maintenance tasks.
- Completing scheduled servicing and maintaining accurate records.
- Ensuring tools and equipment are safe and properly stored.
Qualifications :
What Were Looking For
- Relevant qualification.
- Class 1 NZ drivers license (Class 4 desirable).
- Experience working in and around dangerous goods/hazardous substances
- Experience with hydraulic and electrical fault finding.
- Welding skills and ability to troubleshoot mechanical failures.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
Experience in the waste industry is advantageous but not essential.
