Dispatch Manager - Malton
Salary:
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am5.15pm 1 in 4 Sundays 9am1pm
A growing e-commerce business in Malton is looking for a hands-on Dispatch Manager to join the team. After recently consolidating their operations under one roof the focus is on improving efficiency and supporting ongoing growth.
The role:
- Manage the dispatch team including shift planning training and performance
- Ensure all orders are picked packed and dispatched accurately and on time
- Implement and monitor KPIs (pick accuracy dispatch lead time stock accuracy)
- Maintain a clean organised and safe warehouse in line with H&S regulations
- Develop efficient systems for stock management to reduce errors and shortages
- Liaise with couriers hauliers and internal teams to ensure smooth operations
- Drive continuous improvement across warehouse and dispatch functions
- Support and guide a busy warehouse team and bring ideas to improve workflow
What were looking for:
- Ideally 45 years experience in warehouse or logistics management (manufacturing/distribution background preferred)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Good understanding of stock management systems (ERP/WMS)
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
- Confident under pressure in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment
- Friendly down-to-earth approach and leads by example
